January 2015:

  • Initial OnePlus 2 spec estimation/rumor hints at a lot of power
  • OnePlus 2 officially named “OnePlus 2”
  • OnePlus announces development of in-house Android Lollipop-based OxygenOS

February 2015:

  • OnePlus removes the Cyanogen branding from OnePlus One smartphones, hinting at the impending business seperation between the two companies.

March 2015:

  • Cofounder Carl Pei describes OnePlus 2 development priorities
  • OnePlus hints at “all-new” product that turns out to be a quad-copter drone

April 2015:

  • Hints at new features like fingerprint identification
  • OnePlus will release two different phones: two different models of the OnePlus 2

  • OnePlus One Lite could be the other phone in development, to be released alongside the OnePlus 2
  • OnePlus Hints OP2 Will Cost $400
  • New benchmarks confirm CPU and camera details

June 2015:

  1. My personal view on how a smartphone should be developed is to split the phone, one side to contain the screen with extra memory slot, wifi, the remainder the phone, battery, RAM, processor, with a minimal screen.

    Large screen can be as large or small as users wants. Minimal screen acts as qwerty board, so Large screen need not be touch sensitive.
